…stare at your kid(s) in anaesthesia and wonder where the heck they learned everything?

Recently our business firm has turned into an episode of "Kids Say the Darnedest Things", and I know it is only gonna get funnier as the years keep.

Reli's newest catch phrase is "Oh My Gosh!" and it cracks me upward every time I hear it. The funniest part is that she must take picked that upwardly from me even though I don't recall using it that oftentimes. I can imagine myself though in times of stress (500x a mean solar day) letting out an exasperated "Oh My Gosh Aurelia, Why do/don't you…" I acknowledge I'k not ever as patient equally I should be, just sometimes I feel like I'thousand raising a mimi teenager instead of a toddler!

The amazing role to me has been the contempo word EXPLOSION! I was jotting downward on the calendar eveytime I heard her say a new word. At the end of June we were up to 24 words. At present only 2 weeks subsequently, I tin can't fifty-fifty keep track anymore. Everything from food, colors, animals, objects, and clothing, to others like "shopping", "running" and "cheers" (which is adorable, only I know won't last very long). She all the same speaks her ain "babe language" merely I'grand astounded by how much I understand!

Final calendar month we were practically begging her to add together the number 3 to her counting. (the constant ane,two,1,2,i,2 can get pretty annoying) But a few days ago she was walking back from the pool and simply rattled off the numbers 1-11! I mean 11? Where the heck did that come from, and isn't she too little for that just yet? She won't fifty-fifty exist 2 until October. I was hoping maybe ane-five.

At present,  I am not the mom who sits effectually all day playing games with my kid. Pedagogy cool "lessons" everyday and doing fun crafts.  I wish I was, but lets face it, her attention span is on par with a goldfish,  and I have housework to do. Ha, who am I kidding, I've got sewing to practise ; ). Maybe when we are stuck inside for the winter, but at present it'due south more fun outside.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Reli is some kind of genius. She eats rocks, and walks into walls nearly every twenty-four hours! I'm just marveling at how quickly kids grow, and what petty sponges they are. Now if we could but catch on to potty training!

What does your kid do that makes you lot stand back and stare in awe?
